The last semester, there goes my training wheels
January slipped through quietly, the cold seemed to have numbed my sense of time, as if my biological clock had been frozen. Or perhaps it is the paucity of time that remains before my eventual departure from university, swinging right at my face. Each stare at the calendar is an inch closer to my graduation date, the day when I am declared complete and drafted into society.
It is neither fear nor desire, but the bittersweet acceptance of the brief hiatus between school and employment. And I will enjoy it while it lasts, by decelerating my perception of time, through deliberate efforts of writing, drawing, meeting more friends, making coffee, running, gaming and working.
