Sky

To live is to experience, to do all that life has to offer, to be liberated and to be burdened, to take lift into the air and to sink beneath the sea.

I'm a recent CS graduate at CUHK who enjoys building agentic AI/ML systems and doing independent research. Currently building at AWS; before that J.P. Morgan, Foodpanda, and a game studio. The rest of the time, I write.

Where I've put the engineering to work — from big tech to a bank to a game studio.

Applied AI Engineer · Amazon Web Services (AWS) Mar 2026 — Present

Architected a high-scalability multi-agent framework using concurrent sub-agents to parallelize complex data extraction, automated reporting, and intelligent web-scraping workflows. Developing an automated autoresearch framework to streamline and scale quantitative research, and engineered custom automation tools via Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, Amazon Q, and advanced tool-calling to build self-service data-mapping pipelines that remove manual spreadsheet bottlenecks. Built a self-improving meta-agent simulation testbed to benchmark prompt robustification and model accuracy under distribution shifts — and served as a technical representative presenting complex AI architectures to enterprise clients and executive stakeholders.

Machine Learning Engineer Intern· J.P. Morgan Asset Management Jun — Aug 2025

Built a multi-agent system with an LLM-powered natural language query interface for Portfolio Analytics, combining structured and unstructured data. Engineered real-time data pipelines with quant researchers and PMs, and delivered an internal framework for dynamic code generation and execution via agent graphs — adopted across the Asset Management LOB.

Data Science Intern · Foodpanda Jun — Aug 2024

Built an ML-driven vendor churn model from high-dimensional data, and an end-to-end pipeline for embedding, storage, and mapping of 3M+ menu items across companies. Improved reliability of mission-critical data by 10% via snapshot models and data-integrity fixes.

Game Developer · Binary Tree Studio Jun — Aug 2023

Sole programmer on a Unity / C# game prototype — designed and built the core mechanics end to end, with a bot system, procedural map generation, and round-based card mechanics, working alongside level designers and artists.

Independent studies and university research — from evolutionary game dynamics to language models, taken from a question to a result.

NLP · Systems

Semantic Caching for Large Language Models.

Final-year project. Trained a query-classification model and an adaptive hybrid-retrieval mechanism that decides when a cached response can be safely reused — lifting cache hit rate by 43% and F1 by 10% over a dense-retrieval baseline.

NLP · Graph ML

Temporal Relation Extraction with Graph Transformers.

Adapted a span-based graph transformer (RoBERTa encoder + Heterogeneous Graph Transformer) for joint event detection and temporal relation extraction on the AQUAINT TimeML corpus. Curriculum learning, focal loss, and dynamic thresholds lifted entity-recognition F1 from ~0.05 to 0.68. Built a timeline pipeline with cycle detection (Kahn's algorithm) and an interactive, draggable visualization.

Let's talk.

I build agentic AI and ML systems, and I write about identity, impermanence, and the small rituals that hold a life together. Open to opportunities overseas — if you liked what you read, that's the best introduction we could have.
