Vitiligo
I know they see it,
Their subtle pauses and gazes,
Laid upon my whitened bit.
I tried to hide it for some days,
With crayons for fit,
Yet I felt like a hypocrite.
It drove in during covid,
Coated my skin,
Soul eroded.
I hid it behind a mask,
It was natural because of the virus,
Like a pirate on a diet,
Who desires noncompliance and guidance.
I am tired,
Of the self imposed license,
Let’s be defiant,
Show it to the clients,
Because everyone is blinded,
By their own giants.
